How it works

Pure Karze Hasana — lending for Allah’s sake

Karze Hasana is a benevolent interest-free loan given purely for the sake of Allah. There is no profit, no interest, and no riba of any kind. You lend your amount, the building is secured for the community, and your full principal is returned to you at the end of the term. The real reward is with Allah.

The Qur’an asks: "Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?" — Surah Al-Baqarah 2:245. This is your answer.

1
You pledge a minimum of £1,000 as a Karze Hasana benevolent loan.
2
The building is secured permanently for the children of Leeds.
3
Your principal is returned in full at the end of the agreed term. Not a donation.
4
Your sadaqah jariyah continues for as long as Qur’an is recited here.
The story

A house of Qur’an in Leeds, at risk

For nine years, Darul Yasin has been the safe home where the children of 50+ families learn Qur’an with proper tajweed. Every week, over 100 children walk through those doors to learn, memorise, and grow.

In June 2026, that changes unless we act. The building will go to a third party if we cannot raise £375,000 to purchase it permanently for the community.

"You are not lending money. You are buying a continuation."

Every recitation, every salah, every child who becomes hafiz after June 20 will have been made possible by your pledge today. The Prophet ﷺ said the reward of sadaqah jariyah does not stop. Neither does the Qur’an, when it has a place to be read.

Your legacy

What will your legacy be?

By securing Darul Yasin, you ensure that generations of children will learn Qur’an. Your Karze Hasana pledge becomes sadaqah jariyah — charity that keeps giving long after you’re gone.

This is not just about a building. It is about preserving a legacy of knowledge for the children of Leeds, for the families who trust Darul Yasin with their most precious responsibility.

🤲 The Du’a Promise

Every teacher at Darul Yasin will make du’a for every benefactor. Every child who learns in this building — you made their learning possible. Every letter they recite, every dua they memorise, every surah they master — they will carry your name forward in their prayers.

It is not a donation. Karze Hasana is a benevolent loan — your full principal is returned to you at the end of the agreed term. The spiritual reward, however, is that of sadaqah jariyah: every child who learns Qur’an in this building is a continuation of your good deed, long after your money has been returned.
We offer 3-year and 5-year terms and will discuss which works best for you. Any surplus income from the building goes toward early repayment, so you may receive your principal back sooner than your selected term. Early return is possible after 6 months for pledges under £5,000, or after 1 year for larger amounts, discussed case-by-case. Our priority is to discharge our obligations as quickly as possible. For specific details about your situation, please call us.
No. This is explicitly sadaqah and lillah only, not Zakat-eligible. Zakat has specific categories of recipients that this does not fall into. Please use sadaqah funds or general household funds instead.
Yes. Minimum pledge is £1,000. There's no maximum. We recommend £5,000–£30,000 for substantial impact, but every pledge, regardless of size, is valued and appreciated.
