About Islamic Marriage (Nikah)
Nikah represents a sacred covenant between two individuals in Islam, forming the foundation of Muslim family life. This blessed union is regarded as completing half of one’s faith, emphasizing its profound spiritual significance.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of timely marriage, advising against delay in three matters: performing obligatory prayers, conducting funeral prayers when the deceased is present, and arranging marriage when a suitable partner is found.
He also urged believers:
“Do not delay three things: the performance of the obligatory prayer, the funeral prayer when the deceased is present, and the marriage of a woman when her suitable match is found.”
